Development offices at our nation's law schools
will likely be very busy this winter, as many
of their graduates have recently raised millions
of dollars in cash. According to a recent analysis
of J3 Donor Watch's Graduate Degree Prospect Research
List, Juris Doctorate holders sold more than $850
billion of stock during Q3 2014.
Topping
the list with the largest stocks sales by their
JD alumni are the University of Michigan, Harvard
University, George Washington University, Stanford
University, New York University, University of
Oklahoma, University of California - Los Angeles
and Boston University.
Overall,
the University of Michigan Law School's alums
sold more the $220 million worth of equities during
Q3. The top selling grads include: Sam Zell (Chairman
of Equity Group Investments), Larry Thompson (EVP,
Government Affairs, General Counsel and Corporate
Secretary at PepsiCo) and John B. Henneman III
(former Chief Administrative Officer at Integra
LifeSciences Holdings Corp).
